The idea of wearing the same clothes every day has always been something i’ve been interested in, especially after becoming a minimalist over four years ago. But, that’s not to say a work uniform doesn’t. Is it ok to repeat outfits, how often do you repeat outfits, etc. Very rarely would i get something new or replace something.
And with the rise of fashion rental platforms and secondhand shopping, we're hoping this is only the beginning of healthier dressing habits. No matter the weather or time of year, that's my outfit. At work, i wear a uniform. There, now you can wear the same dress every day!

It’s really not a big deal. For 21 days, i wore the same outfit to work *every single day*. Then for 3 weeks after that, i expanded a bit and added a few other items with a very narrow, minimalist capsule wardrobe theme. Don’t wear the exact same clothes twice in two days if you can avoid it — you want to give your clothes some time.
Here’s how many times you can wear different types of clothing without washing, say experts in dermatology and microbiology. Only caveat to this is / was work clothes but i’ve wfh since 2020 so not really relevant to my current day to day. Many professionals opt for a minimalist style and create a kind of uniform for themselves. For me, the answer is, “i absolutely know what i’m going to wear every day of the week.” you see, i wear a work uniform.
If work clothes are unobtrusive, i don't think i'd notice.
So for me, i now know one outfit a week and one as simple as what i’d chosen doesn’t work for me. Often will wear an outfit that ‘works’ around different groups. This is the quickest way to a solution. As time goes on you’ll learn no one really cares, but you.
And shirts definitely not cause most people always own more shirts than pants. I have a couple coworkers (including my boss) who wear the same clothes everyday and have. We’re taught that rewearing is a fashion faux pas. I don't wear the exact same outfit to work or out more than once a week unless i'm just throwing something on to run errands (then i will usually wear it again later for the same type of activity).
Wearing the same pants in the same week is fine, but not two days in a row.

You most certainly can choose to wear the same outfit as often as you want as long as it is clean, doesn’t smell, and isn’t wrinkled or unkempt looking. I don’t wear the exact same thing every day; My day job inspired my ambition for wearing the same clothes every day.
We had a great discussion on how often one can repeat outfits at work a few years ago, and i agree with a lot of my advice from there: Our managing editor wore the same outfit for seven days straight. I have two weeks worth of work close and would mix and match when i worked in the office.
