Nick refuses to wear anything but his hat and trenchcoat, not even glasses work. Like people indicated, you can equip items on various npcs, so i was a little disappointed that nick could not wear even some basic humanoid armor (and agreed with the poster. I was able to equip the colonial duster, kellogg's outfit, and the minuteman general outfit on him so far. Now nick valentine can wear every clothes and armor you(human) can. T only works for weapons at him. I just want to know what the best option there is for being able to change nick’s outfit. Is this a glitch, or is this because he is a synth and requires some sort of special armor? Meeting nick valentine in vault 114 before visiting diamond city will automatically start unlikely valentine.
The faded trenchcoat you receive as the quest reward is. At the end of the quest, the sole survivor can respond to valentine. These seem a bit dated historically, but i guess they'll do.
